The junior professorship is to be funded in the context of the Einstein Center Digital Future. The professorship is offered
under the reserve that funds are granted.
|VII-449/16 (starting at the earliest possible / for a period of 3 years; an extension of 3 more years is
possible after successful evaluation / closing date for applications 13/10/16)
|The position includes teaching and research duties in the area of "Trust in digital services", with a special
focus on managerial, economic and legal strategies for increasing trust in digital technologies and services. Applicants
should have expertise in at least one of the following research areas or related fields:
Teaching in the bachelor and master degrees Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Informatics, ICT Innovation,
Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Management and Industrial and Network Economics.
Classes should be taught in German and English
- Formation and facilitation of trust in digital services (in particular trust-building factors, incentive and management systems)
- Legal and regulatory developments in data privacy and protection
- reputation systems, review systems, certificates, intermediaries or trust networks
- Strategies for cyber security
- Training and education activities to create trust between providers and users
- Organization of horizontal and vertical value chains for digital services
Candidates must meet the requirements of the Berlin Higher Education Act (§102a BerlHG), including a
completed academic education, qualified achievements in research, usually proven by an outstanding doctoral thesis
(PhD), educational and didactic competences. We are seeking a scientist with experience in empirical and/or qualitative
applied research and in publications in international journals.
