Professorship (W2) for European Politics with a special focus on Franco-German Relations

The Faculty of Arts of the University of Bonn is seeking to fill the position of a
W 2 Professorship for European Politics
with a special focus on Franco-German Relations
at the Department for Political Science and Sociology at the earliest opportunity.
The professorship is dedicated to research and teaching in the area of
European Politics and Franco-German relations. It is involved in the study
programs of the Department for Political Science and Sociology. Simultaneously,
the professorship is associated with the innovative research structure of the
newly established Centre Ernst Robert Curtius (CERC).
This call for applications is addressed to established professionals with
an international profile, who have a proven academic track record in the
discipline of political science with a main focus on European Integration and
a specialization on Franco-German relations. Applicants should have worked
multiple years in other European countries, preferably in Europe's francophone
Work experience in interdisciplinary academic formats, particularly in French
studies, as well as experience with acquiring and executing third-party funded
projects are expected.
Dedicated collaboration in the international and interdisciplinary teaching and
research structures of the Faculty of Arts are furthermore expected as is the
willingness to participate in the bodies of academic self-governance at the
University of Bonn.
