The Weizenbaum Institute is a joint project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It was founded in Berlin in 2017 and researches the interactions between digitalisation and society. The focus is on investigating current and long-term social changes that are emerging in connection with digitalisation. Scientists from the social sciences, economics, law, design research and computer science work together and bring their knowledge to politics, business and society. The guiding values of the institute, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), are self-determination and sustainability in the digital society.
The following are members of the association: Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Universität der Künste Berlin, Universität Potsdam, the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) and the Social Science Research Centre Berlin (WZB). The Weizenbaum-Institut e.V. is responsible for the central administration and legal representation of the institute.
For our research group "Security and Transparency of Digital Processes " at the Weizenbaum-Institut e.V. we are looking as of 15th June 2024 for a
with 10 hours per week. The position is initially limited until 15th June 2025. Further employment will be sought and is dependent on further funding approval.
The research group deals with technologies that enable the secure and reliable support of digital processes, e.g. for process automation or automated process monitoring. You can take a closer look at the team and their work at the Weizenbaum-Institute here.
Collaboration in an interdisciplinary research project at the Weizenbaum Institute, in which we investigate factors influencing human decision-making on the basis of various dashboards. The main tasks are to set up the tools/dashboards.
Necessary:
\ First experience/knowledge in setting up tools/dashboards, e.g. with Power, BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar
\ English Intermediate

\ Statistical data analysis with R or Python
\ Application of machine learning algorithms for data analysis
\ Creation of surveys and their evaluation
\ You are already in your Master's degree and already have some programming knowledge in R, Python or a visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
