14 Interdisciplinary Postdoc
Positions in the Heidelberg
AI Health Innovation Cluster
(Ref-No. 2022-0255)
Apply for a prestigious
postdoctoral position within the “AI Health Innovation Cluster” Postdoc Program.
The newly established “AI Health Innovation Cluster“ in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region combines the excellence and expertise of several renowned research and health institutions to concentrate and excel the existing research potential in modern health sciences. DKFZ, EMBL, the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg University and the University Clinics Heidelberg and Mannheim as well as the Central Institute for Mental Health have joined forces to promote cutting-edge research for AI applications in medicine and health. The AI Health Innovation Cluster is an activity within the "Heidelberg Mannheim Health & Life Science Alliance" (
https://www.health-life-sciences.de/).
The interdisciplinary Postdoc Program of the cluster promotes outstanding researchers in the field of informatics and AI. The first cohort of postdocs have just started. All postdocs work on cutting-edge interdisciplinary projects at the interface of AI and medicine. Each project involves a collaboration between two of the partner institutions of the cluster. The program excels the individual postdoctoral careers not only by providing state-of-the-art technical infrastructure and networks, but also by providing individual support towards developing an independent research career. This involves direct integration into project planning and management and supervision of students as well as a tailored mentorship program to further support the postdoctoral researchers on their career path. All postdocs and projects receive further support by visionary data, software and ethics & legal competence centers, beyond the infrastructure the collaborating institutions generally provide to their researchers.
We look forward to your application, if you can see yourself making a big difference for the use of AI in health and medical research.
