The European Institute for Energy Research (EIFER) is a joint research institution of
Electricité de France (EDF) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) based in
Karlsruhe. More than 100 scientists at the institute are engaged in interdisciplinary and
international research activities in the fields of energy in cities and regions, energy
resources and decentralized energy conversion as well as energy and environmental
economics.

To support our research activities in the working group "Local Multi-Energy Systems" we
are looking for a student assistant to support us in the analysis and evaluation of
international geothermal energy training programs. Such training programs are offered
and implemented by international organizations such as the United Nations University
Geothermal Training Program or the Renewable Energy Training Program of ESMAP
(World Bank).
Your tasks:
- Inspection and recording of currently running programs, creation of a contact
database
- Contacting the persons responsible for the program
- Collection of information materials on the program, annual reports or existing
program evaluations and archiving of materials
- Analysis of the documents according to predefined categories and recording of the
results in a database
- If required preparation and execution of interviews
- Preparation of a final report on given questions
Qualification and personal skills:
- Student of social sciences at a German university
- Good knowledge of English including good communication skills in writing and orally
- Structured working with Microsoft Office applications and corresponding databases
- Experience in the analysis of organizations / evaluation of educational programs is an
advantage
- Independent working methods and reliability as well as interest in working in an
intercultural context at the interface between Humans and Technology
