Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in one or more of the following areas related to Operating Systems:
- Modern and future hardware: post-Moore era systems, heterogeneous compute-capable devices, future computer technologies (e.g. quantum computing)
- System design and deployment in the context of embedded systems and data centers
- Workload and application requirements, in particular performance, mixed criticality, security, trustworthiness, privacy, (energy-)efficiency, and resiliency
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites.
