Institute coordinator and public relations officer (m/w/d)
This is a two-year position with the expectation that it will become permanent subject to successful performance appraisal.
You will be responsible for
Support for the management of the institute
Coordination of a cross-functional working service team
Coordination of and contributions to annual and business reports
Preparation of reports, statistics and evaluations as well as information brochures for committees, politicians, the public and for the
General Administration of the Max Planck Society
Define processes for information flow for standard procedures, monitoring and adjustment of procedures
Concept and implementation of the Institut's press and public relations work; this also includes events relevant to the public
Development and establishment of a Corporate Design / Corporate Identity concept
Management of the institute's website
Design and creation of advertising and information media
Creation and establishment of a social media concept
Coordination of institute visits (e.g. schools, associations, interested members of the public)
Concept and coordination of the board of trustees
Concept and coordination of alumni affairs.
We expect from you
A successfully completed degree (Master) in communication sciences, media (management), journalism, cultural science or natural
At least three years of professional experience in the field of science management or of press and public relations, marketing, social
media and event management is mandatory, ideally in a scientific environment (research institute, university or similar)
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Very high editing and spelling competence
Experience in personnel management
Experience with administrative procedures
Experience with the areas of grant law relevant for the activity
Good PC knowledge in the required areas (especially MS Office, graphic software, CMS)
Awareness of and sensitivity to intercultural differences
Good self-management and the ability to work independently
Great enthusiasm for working in an international environment
Very high communication competence
Authorization to work in Germany.
