TUM Venture Labs, the new lighthouse initiative by TUM and UnternehmerTUM, aims to transform Munich into the most advanced
European tech hub. At the interdisciplinary interfaces of natural, life and engineering sciences, the TUM Venture Labs support scalable tech venture projects, leveraging the strong local research base. These should address the enormous market
opportunities in their respective fields, while contributing to European tech sovereignty and tackling societal topics.
The TUM Venture Lab Quantum ambition is to become the crystallization point of Quantum Tech innovation and make Munich
the centre of start up activity in this field. It will focus on the quickly growing business opportunities in software, hardware and
components in all quantum technologies, with a specific focus on the wider Quantum Computing field. The TUM Venture Lab
Quantum will be fully embedded in the Quantum activities in the Munich area, including its excellent existing and several emerging
facilities in QuantumTech, receiving strong support by Bavarian, as well as German and European funding programs. We are

Take over the full operative responsibility and management over the TUM Venture Lab Quantum and its team with direct
reporting to the TUM Venture Lab Centre
Establish a close cooperation with the scientific representatives of the TUM (Academic Directors) Directors), the TUM start up consultants
and the venturing experts of the UnternehmerTUM (Venture Lab Directors)
Lead the planning, development and implementation of educational/venturing programs
Define the concept, structure and instrumentation of the TUM Venture Lab Quantum
Instil entrepreneurial mind set and cross functionality in talent pipeline, advance innovations and provide strategic direction
based on economically/societally relevant topics
Represent the TUM Venture Lab Quantum to external partners
Build a strong network within relevant technology fields, local communities and with strategic partners
Short term: Ramp up the TUM Venture Lab Quantum from on boarding potential start up teams to organising lab infrastructure
Business and technical background in relevant field with 3+ years project management/leadership experience in either
academics, venture capital, strategic consulting, start ups or corporate environment
Successfully completed PhD/M. Sc. in Physics, Engineering or comparable studies
Entrepreneurial mind set with clear enthusiasm for high tech innovations especially in the rapidly growing quantum industry
Profound social and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and cultivate a highly dynamic team
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and German with high level of comfort communicating effectively
across internal and external organizations across hierarchies
Opportunity to advance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Munich to the high tech innovation centre of Europe
