Postdoctoral Scientist (f/m/d) for Research Software development and data analysis
Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH
As a member of the Helmholtz Association, Forschungszentrum Jülich makes an effective contribution to solving major challenges facing society in the
fields of information, energy, and bioeconomy. It focuses on varied tasks in the area of research management and utilizes large, often unique, scientific
infrastructure. Come and work with around 6,100 colleagues across a range of topics and disciplines at one of Europe's largest research centres.
The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) operates neutron scattering instruments at the Heinz-Maier-Leibnitz-Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching near Munich. It provides
access to these instruments for researchers from Germany and throughout the world. More than 1,000 scientists visit the MLZ every year to perform experiments in the
physical, chemical, biological and materials sciences. In addition, JCNS is pursuing a research program in the field of soft matter science and condensed matter physics.
In the Scientific Computing Group of JCNS at MLZ we develop software for the analysis of scattering experiments. We support instrument users, and participate in exemplary
data analyses. We closely cooperate with other European research centres.
