For our Faculty of Business in Berlin, we are looking for:
Professor of Business Administration (Finance & Controlling) (m, f, d)
You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the new trends and applications in the field of Finance and/or Controlling as well as in teaching students from various cultures.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Finance, Controlling and Management Accounting
- Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of business administration
- Advising and supervising students
- Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses
- Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Berlin location
- Administrative activities and committee work
- Advising prospective students
Requirements for professorship:
- Completed university studies
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university
Your profile:
- Experience in teaching the basics of Finance, Controlling and Management Accounting. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these course is an advantage.
- Work experience in the areas of Finance, Controlling and Management Accounting is an advantage
- Ability to teach courses in English language
- Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage
- Publication and research activity desired
- Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
- Organizational skills and eagerness to work together to advance the success and growth of the University
