The School of Business and Economics at the University of Münster
(WWU), Germany, is seeking to hire a
Professor of Economics (W3 level)
with a focus on economic cooperation research
The position will start on 1 October 2020.
The successful candidate will represent the Center of Applied Economic
Research Münster (CAWM) in the field of economic cooperative
research in research and teaching. Preference will be given to
candidates with a methodical focus on institutional economics,
organizational economics, contract theory or behavioural economics.
Ideally, the research field of the successful candidate includes
cooperatives (as a form of cooperation). Also, the successful candidate
may take over the management of the Institute for Cooperatives. The
focus on corporate cooperation is expected to be continued and further
developed in teaching. The professorship is supposed to extend and
complement the research and teaching portfolio of the CAWM. Further,
the successful candidate is expected to cooperate with the other
professorships at the Center of Applied Economic Research Münster.
Candidates must have excellent academic credentials in the field of
the professorship with relevant publications in leading international
academic journals and should demonstrate the ability to build
international networks. Candidates should show the ability and
willingness to acquire competitive third-party funding projects and
commitment to academic teaching and self-administration. The
ability and willingness to transfer one's own research results in policy
consulting or in the media is desired. The ability and willingness to
conduct English-language courses in the bachelor's, master's and
doctoral programmes is expected.
Conditions of employment are a successfully completed university
degree, pedagogical aptitude and competence in academic research,
usually attested by an excellent doctoral dissertation. Prerequisite for
the application are academic achievements made as a Juniorprofessor
(assistant professor), in a Habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), or
as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university
research institute, or in a research position in business, industry,
administration or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad.
