Medizinische Klinik und Poliklinik IV invites applications for a
Research assistant (PhD, 65%) in primary aldosteronism (m/f)
Position:
Applications are invited for a post doctorand to work with Mr. Professor Martin Reincke at the
Endocrine Research Labs of the Medical Department IV/University of Munich on a project
funded by the ERC for a period for up to 36 months. The core aim of the Pathophysiology of
Primary aldosteronism (PAPA) ERC Advanced Grant is to obtain improved insights into the
humoral and molecular mechanisms underlying aldosterone excess and hypertension in
primary aldosteronism, with a view to identifying novel therapeutic targets of potential clinical
interest. In addition to joining the ERC PAPA group, the successful candidate will join a vibrant research
department with a strong engagement in endocrinology and diabetes research.
Candidate requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in biology, pharmacology or biochemistry and
allied disciplines with a strong commitment to research
- Experience in molecular biology and/or cell culture
- Ability to write concise, accessible scientific reports
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- An open-minded and self-motivated character
