Our mission is to educate and empower the Digital Pioneers of tomorrow. We offer
three project-based Bachelor programs: Software Engineering, Interaction Design
and Product Management. The didactic concept is designed to stimulate personal
growth and enable students to develop professional competences as well as
communicative and social skills . We are supported by two dozens of Germany’s
most renowned internet entrepreneurs and provide a subsequent, income-adjusted
tuition model to attract the most talented students regardless of their personal
financial background. CODE is currently in the final steps of becoming a
state-recognized university of applied sciences in Berlin and will open its modern
campus for the first 75 students in October 2017.
Our experiential learning concept focusses on creating inspiring challenges for
students. Students at CODE work around 50% of their overall time on projects that
are designed by professors with critical input from cooperating tech companies.
Through those projects, students are not only motivated to learn applicable
techniques but dive deep into underlying methodical and theoretical concepts.
We believe in individual learning journeys. Eachs student’s progress is documented
with an individual competence profile based on a competence framework that is the
backbone of our study programs.
Professors at CODE act as mentors for their students. Quarterly 1:1 meetups
between students and their mentors help students evaluate their current progress as
well as set or adjust their academic and professional objectives.
In transdisciplinary lectures and seminars within our Science, Technology & Society
Program, students take courses in subjects like history, sociology, philosophy,
economics or political science to increase their critical thinking abilities and foster
their understanding of the reciprocal influences of science, technology and society.
